EMERGENCE is...
A small, invitation-led gathering during UNGA 81 / Climate Week / Devex for people building new ways to connect knowledge, capital, technology and action around climate, development and regeneration.
During EMERGENCE, we'll bring these stories to life with the people doing the work — sharing what they're building, what they're learning and what is emerging next.
We are creating a space for people who are already building things to meet others working on adjacent problems, exchange what they've learned, and discover possibilities that may not be visible from within their own sector.
Three organisations are helping convene the week.
Conversations
EMERGENCE is built around small-group conversations, one-to-one meetings, working sessions, demonstrations and introductions between people who should probably have met already — shaped by what you are working on, what you want to explore and who you should meet, not a fixed programme everyone follows.
Our dedicated EMERGENCE space runs for two days (23 & 24 September), but our presence in New York runs throughout Climate Week. If the right conversation makes more sense at Climate Week, Devex, over coffee or wherever you already happen to be, we'll do our best to meet you there.
Because EMERGENCE is deliberately small, you can actually have a conversation rather than collect another stack of business cards.
